30-30 Marlin Ammo What Do You Think About Using A 30-30 For Black Bear In The N. Cascades?

What do you think about using a 30-30 for Black bear in the N. Cascades? - 30-30 marlin ammo

I have a Marlin 30-30 and 308 Tikka T3 (with a range that is not a surplus-8-32x44 BSA Platnium. Sure whether you should be in my own Black Bears 30-30, pack or 308 to skip the whole. My constant concern is greatest in the sale of ammunition, and the grain is used?

For the .30-30, 150gr to 170gr nothing is working well in the black bear. The core shoot themselves in the lungs. You want to avoid the shoulder of May and expects a blow right side. Try using different ammunition and one that attracts the best in your gun. You did not mention places of interest, if this weapon is a field or open. With a scope, I would probably limit my shots to within 150yards.

The 308 would be a good option, but you want to) move to a lower power level (2-7x or 3-9x. At 8x, it might be in a position to say where the goal on the Bears. You can also use a premium ball that you rotate through the shoulders and even penetrate through vital organs allow.

I have used 303 or 30.06 for all, too big for one, 22
I always have 150 seeds bullets in 30-06. There's really no reason to go heavier. (180 g in 303, but that was all that I most of the time if I wanted to buy could 220g)
30-30 is not a true long-range rifle, so I guess it depends on how you expect to be shot.

Factory ammunition is fairly constant.
If you shoot at a distance, where the gap is important that you move too far.

I am tempted to take the 308, just because the 30-30 has fallen over 200 meters, but fell to 308 is only 4 "
(He used to scratch my 30.06, 200 meters, falling to zero if the 100 meters there are only 2 "200) 308 and 30/06 is not so different ballistics.
30-30 rifle ligh NiceBush's use of firearms and t although it certainly fatal.
Most of the shots are 100 yards anyway, most are less than 50 meters.

The thurty thurty old "probably most of the black bears and deer accounted for than any other class in North America. Use the heaviest point of disposal. Instead, I would use the 308 myself, but it's just me. This is because the heavier 308 drawing balls faster, but if I hunt, I had to wear my special Remington 673 Guide Gun, 350 Magnum. My backup is my 308th

Good luck and good hunting.

Also in the field below .308, so the .30-30 have to do when you get a more realistic appearance configuration.

Hornady Lever Evolution 160 gr. Almost flat, 200 meters, with great power and performance of the terminal.
