Take the mass of the battery and plugging it into one of the electric son. Take advantage of the positive battery cable and connect it to a son on the switch. Take the other wire from the switch and the other wire from the light. Make sure all your contacts to ensure there are good connections. If it fails, but the light switch turned on whether the bypass switch must be bad.

Everything you need to do is the boat down. When the rest of the cable installation is the best. Connect the battery cable to a son in the rocker, and another thread on the switch lights up. So, if you press the switch closes the circuit and came to open it. Good luck and make sure that the appropriate fuse in the line.

So:
Battery (+) to fuse holder in line (within 6 inches) from the battery.
Fuse change.
Switch to light.
The light to the battery (-).

If you do not know what you need AMP fuse, 3 amps should be more than sufficient in most cases.

Please, please, please do not let the backup - Boat wiring is covered by several shocks, vibrations or camper.

If the insulation rubbed son (more often than you think) you can have a direct short circuit, which is * hot enough to get a fire.

You do not want to deal with a fire on the boat.

Sounds like the switch is defective.

Simply read the answer kilos - is an interesting way to use a DPDT switch. Without doubt, go to work, but it seems a bit superfluous to me. I thought they were there for two relays in separate 12V (I have one for the lights, the speedometer is driven from the accessories position key switch, soonly triggered when the ignition key).

But this is a good starting point when the switch has 4 contact points (instead of 2), be sure to 2 on one side or the other (instead of 2 or above, using 2).

What appears is that there is a single pole

both positive and negative to go through the switch, connect the brown wire and a red side and black on black on the other side

They are eliminating the problem raised Ricksdukie

Here is a good page scroll down to change to r http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dpst DPST

Switch may be defective. Never use the ship's structure and soil - in the marine environment can be the hull and the engine or other parts of the metal destroyed by electrolysis. This can occur within hours, not days, believe me. Boats series so badly can be connected from the factory.

Good luck.

If you have a single representation (such as from your description) you don `t need the land of light and when the light is the task appears to walk across the switch that does not work as the switch to make noise.

What is the reading of a book on the basic electrical system before starting a fire.
